EQUIPMENT

  • Skillet
  • Cutting Board
  • Wok

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 pound premium beef tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces for a tender and flavorful addition.
  • 1/4 cup fresh snow peas, picked at their peak to add a crisp and refreshing texture.
  • 1/4 cup baby corn, carefully selected for its sweet and delicate flavor.
  • 1/4 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, lean and protein-rich, cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 1/2 pound medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined, for a savory seafood element.
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium chicken stock, providing a light base to enhance the dish.
  • 1/2 cup fresh broccoli florets, cut uniformly for a crunchy texture and vibrant color.
  • 3/4 tablespoon premium soy sauce, brewed traditionally for a deep umami flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice Powder, a fragrant blend of star anise, cloves, cinnamon, Sichuan peppercorns, and fennel seeds, adding a complex layer of flavor.
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped into colorful pieces for a slight tang.
  • Peanut oil, with a high smoke point and nutty flavor, for stir-frying.
  • 3/4 tablespoon authentic oyster sauce, bringing richness and savory depth.
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar, adding subtle sweetness to balance the flavors.
  • 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch, used to thicken the sauce and give it a velvety finish.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Begin by prepping all ingredients: cut the chicken, beef, and shrimp into bite-sized pieces, and chop the bell pepper, snow peas, baby corn, and broccoli.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the Chinese five-spice powder, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and chicken stock. Set aside.
  • Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, adding 2 tablespoons of peanut oil. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides (about 5 minutes). Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
  • Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan, then cook the beef for 2 minutes. Add the shrimp and stir-fry for another 3 minutes until cooked through.
  • Add the vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir everything together and cook for a few more minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the ingredients.
  • Serve your Triple Delight Chinese Food with steamed rice or your favorite noodles.

NOTES

  • Fresh ingredients will give the best flavor.
  • If you don’t have Chinese five-spice powder, you can substitute with a blend of ground star anise, cloves, fennel seed, cinnamon, and black pepper.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables such as mushrooms or zucchini for extra variety.

10 BEAUTIFUL TATTOOS FOR DARK SKIN

Finding the right tattoo artist can be a challenging process. A careful person typically spends time reviewing multiple portfolios before making their decision. It’s not just about the artist’s general skill and design style; it’s also crucial to ensure they can work with your specific skin type. This can be especially challenging for those with dark skin, as many tattoo artists rarely feature tattoos on darker skin tones in their portfolios.

This lack of representation is problematic, as even though lighter skin may create a stronger contrast for certain designs, it’s essential for artists to demonstrate their ability to make tattoos look stunning on all skin tones. Clients with darker skin should feel confident that their tattoos will look just as beautiful as those on any other complexion.

Having dark skin should never limit one’s ability to get the tattoo they desire. With the right technique and carefully chosen designs, people with darker skin tones can fully enjoy the art of tattoos. Below are some tattoo ideas that would look fantastic on dark skin.
