Discover how to make soothing lavender milk! This calming bedtime beverage helps you unwind and leave the day’s stress behind. This simple lavender moon milk recipe comes together in under 10 minutes, using natural, wholesome ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup (240 ml / 8 oz) unsweetened milk of your choice (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 tsp dried culinary lavender (or 4-5 fresh lavender spikes as a substitute)
- 1/2 tsp dried chamomile
- 1/4 tsp ashwagandha root powder
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract (or the seeds from 1/2 vanilla bean)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (or more to taste, optional)
- 1/2 tbsp natural food coloring or fruit powder (optional, see tips above)

INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix: In a small saucepan, combine the milk, lavender, chamomile, ashwagandha powder, vanilla, and food coloring (if using). Whisk the ingredients together.
- Infuse: Place the saucepan on medium heat. Stir occasionally and heat for about 5 minutes to allow the ingredients to infuse into the milk. Keep an eye on it, reducing the heat if the milk starts to boil.
- Strain: Once the milk is infused, remove it from the heat and strain it through a fine-mesh tea sieve into your cup or mug.
- Sweeten: Stir in honey or maple syrup to taste. Start with 1 tablespoon, adjusting as you prefer.
- Froth: If desired, froth the lavender milk using a milk frother for a soft, airy foam.
- Serve: Enjoy your warm lavender milk before bed! For an extra touch, sprinkle some dried flowers on top—though they are mostly for decoration, they add a nice touch.
