ROCK-INSPIRED PHOTO HOLDER

Hi everyone! It’s Megan from Homemade Ginger again, and today I’m sharing a super simple yet adorable craft that’s perfect for kids to do with minimal help!

Like many of us, I have tons of photos stored on my phone and computer but not many printed out and displayed around the house. Getting those photos printed always feels like a big task. Lately, I’ve been trying to make more of an effort to have real photos in my home, and I’m always looking for easy ways to display and switch them out. I made some copper wire photo holders that I adore, but this time I wanted to come up with a version that kids could create on their own.

These rock photo holders are quick to make and budget-friendly. You can easily find smooth river rocks at your local craft store, and copper wire is available almost everywhere. Just paint the rocks in solid colors or experiment with patterns. If you prefer a more rustic vibe, you could skip the paint entirely! These cute little photo holders would make a wonderful gift for Father’s Day or a special surprise for Dad or Grandpa. Can you imagine how adorable they’d look on an office desk?

I loved the idea of these rock photo holders so much that I decided to add my own twist by making them bright and colorful! The beauty of this craft is how easily it can be customized to match any decor. You can paint the rocks in vibrant hues to add a playful touch, or go for a more elegant look by choosing classic colors like white or gray for a sleek, classy finish. The possibilities are endless, and they’ll fit seamlessly into any space!

Rock Photo Holders

The full instructions are at the bottom of this post, but here’s a quick list of what you’ll need to create these adorable photo holders:

  • Smooth Rocks
  • Copper Wire
  • Needle Nose Pliers
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Mod Podge

Once your rocks are painted and dry, you can stick photos in between the wire loops to keep them upright! It’s such a cute and simple DIY project that adds a personal touch to any space. Enjoy crafting!

It’s hard to believe how easy these are!

Equipment:

  • Needle nose pliers

Materials:

  • Smooth rocks
  • Copper wire
  • Acrylic paint
  • Mod Podge

Instructions:

Paint the rock with a solid color, applying additional coats as needed to achieve full opacity.

Once the paint is dry, use a small brush to add patterns such as polka dots, lines, or any design you like.

After the patterns have dried, apply a layer of Mod Podge to seal and preserve the paint’s color.

Wrap the wire around a pen or marker several times to create loops. These loops will serve as the spot to hold your photo.

Straighten the remaining wire beneath the loops, then wrap it around the stone to secure it in place.

Insert a photo between the loops to keep it standing upright.

Your rock photo holder is now complete and ready to display your favorite memories!

Make a few—or even a bunch—of these rock photo holders to give away as gifts. Your kids will have a blast helping with this fun and easy project!

conclusion

These rock photo holders are a simple, fun, and customizable way to display your favorite photos. Whether you make them bright and colorful or keep them sleek and neutral, they add a personal touch to any space. Plus, they make great gifts and are a perfect project for kids to get involved in. Happy crafting!

AUDREY HEPBURN’S FAMILY TREASURES: RARE PHOTOS SHARED BY HER SON, LUCA DOTTI

Legendary Actress Audrey Hepburn Remembered: Son Luca Dotti Shares Rare, Never-Before-Seen Photos 29 Years After Her Passing

Audrey always wanted to be a mom,” shares Luca Dotti, pictured with his mother in a tender moment captured in Rome in 1970.

Audrey Hepburn, pictured on the outskirts of Rome in 1954, enjoyed her favorite “junk food”—pasta with ketchup—on TV nights with her kids. “It’s surprisingly good,” says her son Luca with a laugh.

Luca Dotti and his mother, Audrey Hepburn, share a joyful moment on a beach in Tuscany in 1972. “People thought it couldn’t be normal to be living with Audrey Hepburn,” Luca reflects. “But there was no secret cave where she wore a little black dress.”

Luca Dotti’s first birthday party in Rome, celebrated in 1971, was a special family moment with his father, Andrea Dotti, and his mother, Audrey Hepburn. For birthdays and other special occasions, Hepburn often prepared her favorite dense dark chocolate cake.

“She adored chocolate,” Luca recalls. “She had a little every day.”

In his memoir Audrey At Home, Luca Dotti, Audrey Hepburn’s youngest son, offers an intimate glimpse into his mother’s life, sharing her favorite recipes, personal memories, and rare family photos.

“I wanted to connect these two parts, the public and the private Audrey,” Dotti explains to PEOPLE. “I hope it will give new insights into her. The most special thing about her was how normal she was. She never spoke about life as a fashion icon, her career as an actress, or her history. She lived her life as she wanted to.”

One cherished photo captures Hepburn in the kitchen of her Beverly Hills apartment in 1953, during the filming of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a candid moment that reflects her love for the simple pleasures of home life.

Audrey Hepburn, pictured at home with her beloved Jack Russell terriers in 1987, would often prepare a special “mash” for her dogs, made of boiled rice, seared meat, and softened carrots.

Audrey Hepburn is seen serving her favorite dish, spaghetti al Pomodoro, during a cozy country lunch at her Swiss farmhouse in the early 1970s. “She could eat pasta every day,” her son Luca Dotti fondly recalls.

She had a naturally slim physique,” says Luca Dotti about his mother, reflecting on a photo of Audrey Hepburn in Italy in 1968.

“At the end of her life, she was more comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt,” says Luca Dotti about his mother, Audrey Hepburn. A snapshot from 1968 captures her swimming off a friend’s yacht in Turkey, embodying her effortless elegance and simplicity.

CONCLUSION

Audrey Hepburn’s life, as seen through the intimate lens of her son Luca Dotti, reveals a woman who was not just a beloved icon but also a devoted mother who cherished simple pleasures and family moments. From her favorite dishes to her down-to-earth lifestyle, these personal glimpses show a side of Audrey that was both normal and extraordinary. Her legacy continues to inspire, not only through her films and fashion but also through the quiet, loving life she led with those closest to her.
