KITTY TRINKET DISH

The Kitty Trinket Dish pattern by Gretchen Tanner is a simple yet effective crochet design for making a cute, stable dish to hold small items.

MATERIALS

  • Crochet Hook: 3.75mm (F)
  • Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton Stripes (or similar cotton yarn)
  • Darning Needle & Scissors

STITCHES & TECHNIQUES

  • Magic Ring (for starting each round)
  • Sc: Single crochet
  • Hdc: Half double crochet
  • Sl St: Slip stitch
  • Ch: Chain
  • Flo: Front loop only
  • Blo: Back loop only

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • After each round, join with a slip stitch and begin the next round with a chain 1.
  • If you prefer, you can replace the magic ring with a chain 3, joining it into a loop and crocheting 6 single crochets into the ring.
  • To change the dish size, adjust your yarn or hook size. For a stiffer dish, use a hook a few sizes smaller than the yarn’s recommended size.
  • You can add more rounds to the bottom for a larger dish.
  • While cotton yarn is recommended for easy cleaning, other yarns can be used.
