AIR FRYER BANANA CHIPS

You can easily make air fryer banana chips at home with just a few simple ingredients: sliced bananas, lemon juice, avocado or coconut oil, and a pinch of salt. These crispy, thin slices are a healthier snack option compared to store-bought potato chips.

While banana chips are readily available in grocery stores, making them yourself saves money and reduces waste. Plus, they make great sturdy snacks for school. Think of all the uneaten black bananas tossed out at the end of the day—making banana chips is a delicious way to use them!

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil, coconut oil, or avocado oil
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Prepare the Bananas: Slice the bananas into 1/4-inch thick slices and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add Oil and Salt: Drizzle the oil over the banana slices and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Gently toss to coat the slices evenly.
  • Preheat Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 350°F (175°C).
  • Air Fry the Chips: Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook and Toss: After 4 minutes, carefully toss the basket or use tongs to turn the chips.
  • Finish Cooking: Cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until the chips are golden. Allow them to rest for a couple of minutes to crisp up before serving.
  • Repeat: Remove the chips and place them on a drying rack or plate. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until all banana slices are cooked.

    Notes

    • Ensure your bananas are firm for the best results.
