These deliciously melt-in-your-mouth banana pancakes are made with simple, fresh, and wholesome ingredients. Inspired by the classic Original Pancakes, this recipe doesn’t require buttermilk and uses only a few pantry staples you likely already have!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp unsalted melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- Butter for frying
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, melted butter, brown sugar, and whole milk to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined.
- Mix in the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon until the batter is smooth.
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and coat it with butter.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet, smoothing it out into a round shape.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
