Enjoy your favorite hibachi experience right at home. Serve up tender hibachi chicken alongside delicious hibachi rice, noodles, and veggies, all drizzled with irresistible yum-yum sauce.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper (optional)
For the Sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (or mirin)
- Pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce (or mirin), and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
- Heat the butter over medium-high heat in a pan. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pan and toss to combine.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
- Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the sauce has reduced and the chicken is cooked through and seared.
- (Optional) Drizzle with sesame oil for extra flavor.
- Serve hot with hibachi rice, noodles, or veggies of your choice. Enjoy!
Yum Yum Sauce (4-6 servings)
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 tablespoon Sriracha sauce or ketchup
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon mirin (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons water (add to achieve desired consistency)
Mix all the yum yum sauce ingredients in a bowl and adjust the water until the sauce reaches your preferred thickness.
