HIBACHI CHICKEN

Enjoy your favorite hibachi experience right at home. Serve up tender hibachi chicken alongside delicious hibachi rice, noodles, and veggies, all drizzled with irresistible yum-yum sauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper (optional)

For the Sauce

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (or mirin)
  • Pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Combine the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce (or mirin), and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
  • Heat the butter over medium-high heat in a pan. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the pan and toss to combine.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
  • Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the sauce has reduced and the chicken is cooked through and seared.
  • (Optional) Drizzle with sesame oil for extra flavor.
  • Serve hot with hibachi rice, noodles, or veggies of your choice. Enjoy!

Yum Yum Sauce (4-6 servings)

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sriracha sauce or ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (optional)
  • 1–2 tablespoons water (add to achieve desired consistency)

Mix all the yum yum sauce ingredients in a bowl and adjust the water until the sauce reaches your preferred thickness.
