INGREDIENTS
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk (2% or whole milk)
- 12 tablespoons butter
- Pinch of salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs for about 5 minutes until light and fluffy. Gradually add the sugar, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until well combined.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the butter melts completely.
- Pour the warm milk and butter mixture into the cake batter and beat until smooth and incorporated.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9″x13″ baking pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
