These garlic and parmesan air fryer chicken bites are absolutely delicious! We ate them for three days straight and still can’t get enough of them.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 pounds (680 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into roughly 1-inch bite-sized pieces
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) vegetable oil, or enough to coat the chicken
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder or 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) kosher salt, or to taste
- Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) all-purpose flour or cornstarch
- Oil spray, enough to coat the chicken
- 2-3 tablespoons (30 ml) grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chopped parsley
Equipment:
- Air fryer
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bowl, combine the chicken, vegetable oil, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, garlic powder (or minced garlic), onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the flour or cornstarch evenly over the chicken and toss to coat. Add more flour or cornstarch if needed until all pieces are covered. Generously spray with oil to ensure there are no dry spots.
- Spray the air fryer basket with oil. Place the chicken in a single, even layer.
- Air fry at 360°F (182°C) for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, stir and flip the chicken, then air fry for another 5 minutes. Flip and stir again, and continue to air fry for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Add the parmesan cheese and parsley, then air fry at 360°F (182°C) for 1 minute to melt the cheese slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.
Note: If your air fryer is preheated or you are cooking multiple batches, you may need to reduce the cooking time slightly.
