Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs are made with biscuit dough stuffed with sweet apple pie filling, air-fried to golden perfection, and coated in a delicious blend of sugar and apple pie spice. I also make Cherry Pie Bombs and Blueberry Pie Bombs for even more fruity goodness!
INGREDIENTS
- ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 3 teaspoons apple pie spice
- 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits (not flaky layers)
- 1 cup (243 g) apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a medium bowl, combine the sugar and apple pie spice. Set aside.
- Separate the biscuits from the can and split each into two layers. Flatten each layer into a 4-inch circle, creating 16 circles total.
- In a small bowl, mix the chopped apple pie filling with cinnamon.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple filling mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the sides of the dough over the filling, pinching to seal, and roll into balls.
- Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with nonstick cooking spray.
- Arrange the balls in the air fryer basket, leaving about 2 inches of space between them. Spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Air fry at 350°F for 8-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Once cooked, remove the apple pie bombs and dip each in melted butter.
- Roll the butter-coated bombs in the sugar and apple pie spice mixture until fully coated.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batches.
- Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy!
