INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ lb. skin-on salmon fillets (about 1.5 inches thick)
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ¼ cup water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions

INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper. Let them rest at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Cook the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes. Once the oil is hot and sizzling, place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin-side up. Sear for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. The salmon is done when the flesh turns opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, water, cornstarch, and lemon juice until the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
- Combine the Ingredients: Using the same skillet, sauté the garlic over medium heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the sauce mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously until thickened to your desired consistency.
- Glaze the Salmon: Return the cooked salmon to the skillet, tossing gently to coat each fillet in the glaze.
- Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with green onions and serve warm with steamed rice. Enjoy!
