HOT MILK CAKE

Hot Milk Cake – A timeless treat that’s perfect for using up any extra milk you have! Ready in under an hour with just a few basic ingredients, this cake is sure to become a new favorite!

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk (2% or whole milk)
  • 12 tablespoons butter
  • Pinch of salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs for about 5 minutes until light and fluffy. Gradually add the sugar, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until well combined.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the butter melts completely.
  • Pour the warm milk and butter mixture into the cake batter and beat until smooth and incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9″x13″ baking pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool before serving.
