RECIPE BOX (KAISERCRAFT – NAN’S FAVOURITES)

Today, I’m excited to share a recipe box using the Kaisercraft “Nan’s Favourites” Collection – which has quickly become my favorite collection of theirs this year!

I’ve covered the box with the Lemon Slice and Apple Pie papers, and lined it using the Cookie Dough and Shortbread papers. To decorate, I’ve used the paper pad, elements, and chipboard, along with one of the Kaisercraft Wood Flourishes shaped like a weighing scale.

I absolutely love these flourishes – they’re so versatile! Just a little tip: they are quite delicate, so be careful when removing them from the packaging. I’ve been a bit too eager in the past and accidentally snapped a few, but no worries – you can always glue them and use them on a card instead! 🙂

I thought the chipboard pieces from this collection were really fun – so I decided to use them as tabs for my box.

I lightly sanded the pieces of the box before applying a coat of paint. Normally, I apply three coats for a matte finish, but this time I wanted a slightly worn look, so I painted it once and then sanded the surface to reveal some of the raw wood beneath.

The recipe cards that come with the collection are absolutely GORGEOUS! I scanned one into my computer to create an easy template for printing my recipes onto them. I chose a simple font (Courier), and I’m really happy with how they turned out.

Here is a close-up of one of the cards – along with a pic of the finished frittata…
