INGREDIENTS

  • 6 servings mashed potatoes
  • 1 (24 oz) package of cooked popcorn chicken
  • 1 (15 oz) can of corn, drained and heated
  • 1 packet of beef gravy, cooked
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Prepare 6 servings of instant mashed potatoes (or make your own from scratch).
  • Cook the popcorn chicken according to the package instructions.
  • Heat the corn in the microwave or on the stovetop, depending on your preference.
  • Prepare the gravy using a brown gravy packet.
  • Assemble the bowls by layering mashed potatoes, corn, chicken, and gravy. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

NOTES

  • Feel free to use instant mashed potatoes or make your own homemade version.
  • You can substitute mac and cheese for the potatoes if you’d like to make a KFC-inspired mac and cheese bowl—just skip the corn and gravy.
  • Chicken strips can be used instead of popcorn chicken; just cut them into pieces to top the bowls.
  • We used beef gravy, but you can opt for your favorite gravy.
