STOVETOP CANDIED PECANS

Stovetop candied pecans are a simple treat to prepare on the stove. The pecans are coated in melted brown sugar and a pinch of salt, making them an ideal snack or a delicious salad topping.

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a skillet, heat the water, brown sugar, and salt over medium-high heat until the mixture begins to boil and the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the pecan halves to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the pecans are evenly coated in the brown sugar glaze.
  • Transfer the pecans to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If needed, separate the pecans using a fork, and let them cool at room temperature until completely cooled.
  • Once cooled, they are ready to serve and enjoy!
