OVERNIGHT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter until smooth.
  • Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing for about 5 minutes until the mixture is creamy.
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, ensuring to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Store the dough in an airtight container and refrigerate for 24 hours.

BAKING

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Using a medium cookie scoop, place the dough on an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes: This cookie dough can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
