CARNIVAL PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES

Setting up a backyard carnival is a breeze! With just a few straightforward games and budget-friendly prizes, you can create a fun-filled experience. This post is packed with easy and affordable DIY carnival games and activities that will delight your guests.

Check out this simple guessing booth. I filled two dollar store jars with candy, and the child that was able to guess closest to the amount in each jar was able to take that jar home after the party.

Next up is the straw raffle, a beloved party game! In this activity, rolled-up pieces of paper are stuffed into straws, each labeled “small,” “medium,” or “large.” Kids then select the straws, and the child who discovers the prize gets to claim it. It’s a fun way to add excitement to your carnival!

I created a ring toss game by hot gluing a paper towel roll onto a cake pedestal from the dollar store. For the rings, I used pipe cleaners. To add a touch of flair, I attached carnival tickets to the cake stand with hot glue, making it look even more festive!

A bean bag toss is simple to set up as well! Just assign point values to different bowls, and let the fun begin as players toss bean bags to earn prizes.

I also transformed an old box into a frisbee toss using an X-Acto knife and duct tape. It’s super simple and adds another fun game to the mix!

What could be easier than stacking cups to create a knockdown game? It’s a classic carnival game that everyone loves!

Old boxes can also be transformed into great carnival games! Simply place the lid at an angle, cut a few holes, and you’ve created a fantastic ball toss game.

To add some excitement and help the kids preserve memories from the party, set up a carnival photo booth!

Setting up a backyard carnival is incredibly easy and enjoyable for all ages. These carnival games and activities are simple to create, budget-friendly, and guarantee loads of fun!
