Ingredients

  • 24 mini pretzel twists
  • 24 individually wrapped caramel squares
  • 8 oz. milk chocolate, melted
  • 24 pecan halves

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  • Arrange the pecan halves in a single layer on a baking sheet. Toast them in the oven for 5 to 6 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until they’re lightly browned. Remove and set them aside to cool.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Arrange the pretzels on the sheet and top each one with a caramel square. Place the tray in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the caramels soften (but don’t melt). Remove from the oven.
  • Gently press a pecan half onto each caramel, allowing the caramel to spread slightly into the pretzel. Let them cool completely.
  • While the pretzel/caramels are cooling, melt the chocolate. Once they’ve cooled, carefully remove them from the sheet. Spoon a small dollop (about 1 1/2 teaspoons) of melted chocolate onto the baking sheet. Place each pretzel in the center of a chocolate dollop.
  • Let the pretzels cool completely (you can speed this up by placing them in the fridge).
  • Variation: Drizzle melted chocolate over the tops of the pretzels, covering them completely in chocolate. Enjoy!
