ACTING CLASSES
If you have the “Get Famous” expansion, the theater troupe can be a great training ground for your Sim! However, this expansion is not necessary for this activity since it focuses on building Charisma rather than Acting skills. This extracurricular activity can also be engaging if you plan to use Sacrificial Road to Fame mod and pursue an acting or modeling career later.
DRAWING LESSON
If your Sim enjoys painting or drawing, this activity will be perfect for them! At least their parents might be a little less embarrassed when it’s time to display their latest creation on the hallway wall. This activity involves creating several “works,” with the definition of “work” depending on your Sim’s skill level.
MUSICAL ACTIVITIES
SCHOOL CHOIR
This is an ideal activity for honing your vocal skills, especially if your Sim aspires to become a singer in the future! Thanks to this activity, a new voice-warming interaction is available. Please note that the City Life expansion is required to progress in this activity.
SCHOOL ORCHESTRA
Continuing with the musical theme, your Sim can choose the instrument they want to practice. Once enrolled in the orchestra, your Sim will gain access to a new interaction allowing them to select their musical instrument for this activity. Your Sim can choose between the guitar, piano, violin, or organ.
DANCE
This is a more physical activity where your Sim will need to practice dancing and engage in exercises to stay fit. It could come in handy for impressing everyone on the dance floor at the next prom, right? It’s especially practical if you’re playing with the Prom King/Queen aspiration, also created by Ilkavelle!
PHOTOGRAPHY
The goals involve taking lots of pictures! Your Sim will also need to participate in events, capture the moments, and then submit their magnificent photos for the school newspaper. If you have the Get Famous expansion, this can help your Sim gain notoriety! This extracurricular activity is perfect if you want to turn your Sim into a future independent photographer (using the Moschino kit).
JOURNALISM
Your Sim will need to write articles, attend events, and take notes on their phone before writing a report on the computer. They’ll also have the opportunity to interview other Sims on various topics!
Fun fact: The interview can be either highly productive or completely lackluster! Your Sim will get to choose the questions asked during the interview.
Once the interview is finished and written up on the computer, your Sim will gain notoriety if you have the Get Famous expansion. The first steps towards fame!
SCHOOL NEWSPAPER
This activity allows child, teen, and college student Sims to participate in their school’s newspaper, making it perfect for aspiring authors or photographers!
At the beginning of the activity, your Sim will need to submit either an article (written on the computer) or a photo taken by your Sim and present in their inventory. At the second level, your Sim will choose between two paths: journalism or photography.
As with many other mods and activities created by Ilkavelle, new interactions will be available to help you complete each level’s objectives. Remember, you can hover over an objective to get more details.
Odd Jobs for Kids and Teen Sims
In this second mod by Ilkavelle, unlike the classic odd jobs, you don’t need Paradise Islands. These jobs are exclusively for children and teenagers and can be accessed via a new interaction on the computer, available 24/7. If you’re using a custom content (CC) computer and the interaction doesn’t appear, try using a non-CC computer from the official game or its addons.
Once an odd job is selected, your Sim will immediately head to the rabbit hole to complete it and will be away for a few hours.
Each odd job affects your Sim’s needs, personal qualities, and skills, allowing them to earn some money and gain exclusive states of mind. These odd jobs include numerous chance cards that can have positive or negative impacts, adding an element of surprise and discovery as you play.
