INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1½ cups mashed ripe bananas
- ⅓ cup plain yogurt or sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup Nutella (chocolate hazelnut spread)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the Oven: Set the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×4-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated. Add the mashed bananas, yogurt, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Prepare Nutella Swirl: Place the Nutella in a microwave-safe bowl and warm for about 10 seconds to soften. Stir 1 cup of the banana bread batter into the Nutella until evenly blended.
- Layer and Swirl: Alternately spoon the plain batter and Nutella batter into the prepared loaf pan. Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
- Bake: Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Check for browning at the 45-minute mark. If the top is browning too quickly, loosely cover it with foil for the remainder of the baking time.
