MILLION DOLLAR SPAGHETTI

Would you like to feel like a millionaire? Not quite the real deal, but close enough to enjoy the luxury. This “rich” pasta, which absolutely deserves that title, will give you that experience. Honestly, I think every pasta post should begin with: “I really love pasta.” A lot! Almost every pasta I make is delicious, but every now and then, I like to dress up spaghetti in an “elegant suit,” as if I’ve got a million bucks in my pocket.

No, I’m not saying this spaghetti costs a fortune to make! It’s just so good, it tastes like a million bucks!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (16-ounce) package spaghetti noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 cup butter, sliced (divided)
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8-ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until “al dente” (tender but firm to the bite), about 12 minutes. Drain.
  • In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Cook and stir the ground beef until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and discard any excess grease.
  • Transfer the beef to a bowl and stir in the spaghetti sauce.
  • In a separate bowl, blend the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until smooth and well combined.
  • Place half of the butter slices at the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  • Layer half of the cooked spaghetti on top. Spread the creamy cheese mixture over the spaghetti.
  • Layer the remaining spaghetti over the creamy mixture and top with the remaining butter slices.
  • Pour the beef and sauce mixture over the spaghetti, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese over the top and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.

Serve and enjoy this rich, comforting dish!
