  • 1 cup crushed corn flakes
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Korean Style Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks green onions (whites and greens separated)
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Toasted sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

Prepare the Chicken Tenders:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a shallow dish, crush the corn flakes to create a coating. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, then mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Dip each chicken tender into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
  • Roll the chicken tenders in the crushed corn flakes, gently pressing to ensure they stick.

Air Fry the Chicken Tenders:

  • Place the coated chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each piece.
  • Lightly spray with cooking oil (avocado oil spray works well).
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked.

Prepare the Korean Style Sauce:

  • While the chicken cooks, heat avocado oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and chopped green onion whites, sautéing until fragrant.
  • Stir in the gochujang, honey, ketchup, sesame oil, and mirin. Simmer the mixture, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Add the toasted sesame seeds and stir to combine.

Coat the Chicken Tenders:

  • Once the chicken tenders are cooked, transfer them to the sauce. Toss gently to coat each piece evenly in the sauce.

Serve:

  • Serve the Korean Fried Chicken hot, garnished with chopped green onions or extra sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy!
