KETO TACO SALAD RECIPE

Craving tacos on keto? Try this quick and easy keto taco salad for a perfect weeknight meal! It’s loaded with delicious low-carb ingredients like seasoned ground beef, salsa, avocado, and shredded cheese.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp homemade taco seasoning (see notes)
  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup fresh tomato salsa (pico de gallo)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 lime (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until fully browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  • Stir in the homemade taco seasoning and let the beef cool slightly.
  • Prepare the vegetables: Wash and chop the lettuce, then slice the avocado.
  • Assemble the salad: Add the lettuce to a large bowl and top with seasoned beef, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, and avocado slices. Serve with a lime wedge if desired.

NOTES

For homemade taco seasoning, mix:

  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
