Craving tacos on keto? Try this quick and easy keto taco salad for a perfect weeknight meal! It’s loaded with delicious low-carb ingredients like seasoned ground beef, salsa, avocado, and shredded cheese.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 tbsp homemade taco seasoning (see notes)
- 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup fresh tomato salsa (pico de gallo)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 lime (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until fully browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the homemade taco seasoning and let the beef cool slightly.
- Prepare the vegetables: Wash and chop the lettuce, then slice the avocado.
- Assemble the salad: Add the lettuce to a large bowl and top with seasoned beef, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, and avocado slices. Serve with a lime wedge if desired.
NOTES
For homemade taco seasoning, mix:
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp oregano
- ½ tsp black pepper
