STOVE TOP CANDIED PECANS RECIPE

Stovetop candied pecans are incredibly simple to prepare with just 4 ingredients and ready in under 10 minutes! Perfect for topping salads or gifting to friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Baking Sheet
Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Cook the Pecans
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sugar and pecans, stirring constantly until the sugar melts and forms a light brown syrup (about 5 minutes).
  • Add Vanilla and Cool
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined. Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Allow them to cool for at least 5 minutes.
  • Serve or Store
Chop the cooled pecans to use in salads or transfer them to a serving dish for snacking.

Notes

  • Dessert Topping: Sprinkle over ice cream with homemade hot fudge for an indulgent treat.
  • Salad Ideas: Try them in a grape pecan summer salad or a chopped salad with raspberry vinaigrette.
  • Gift Idea: Break apart the cooled pecans, pack them in a mason jar, and tie a decorative ribbon around the rim for a thoughtful gift.
  • Baking Finishes: Use as a garnish for pumpkin pie or skillet chocolate chip cookies.
