Crunchy, satisfying, and oh-so-addictive, air fryer almonds are a breeze to make! Follow the recipe for smoky garlic almonds or customize the seasoning to your taste. Oven instructions are also provided.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika if you prefer a milder flavor)
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon white pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Air Fryer Directions
- Spread the almonds evenly in your air fryer basket. Cook at 300°F for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket every 2 minutes to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
- Starting at the 6-minute mark, check the almonds every minute, tasting for doneness. They should be crunchy on the outside and slightly chewy in the center.
- Transfer the almonds to a bowl and toss with olive oil. Sprinkle on the seasonings, starting with ½ teaspoon of salt (or ¾ teaspoon if you prefer). Toss well to coat evenly.
- Taste, adjust the seasoning as needed, and let the almonds cool completely before storing.
Oven Directions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F.
- Spread the almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes for even cooking.
- Once the almonds are crunchy on the outside and slightly chewy in the center, transfer them to a bowl. Toss with olive oil and sprinkle on the seasonings, starting with ½ teaspoon of salt (or ¾ teaspoon if desired). Toss to coat evenly.
- Taste, adjust seasoning as needed, and let cool completely before storing.
NOTES
- The almonds are ready when they firm up but still have a slightly chewy center—they’ll continue to harden as they cool. Avoid overcooking, as this can lead to burning.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
Enjoy your delicious snack!
