Honey and cinnamon roasted almonds are a simple and healthy snack made from plain almonds. Enjoy them on their own, sprinkle them over salads, or use them to top cheese balls!
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole raw almonds
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and stir until the almonds are evenly coated.
- Spread the almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet, making sure they’re not stacked on top of each other.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, or until the almonds are toasted and fragrant. For a slower roast, bake at 225°F for 45 minutes to an hour to reduce the risk of burning.
- Let the almonds cool slightly before serving. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-5 days.
Notes: If your honey has hardened, melt it by microwaving or heating on the stovetop with 1/2 tablespoon of water until it becomes liquid.
