CREAMY PESTO PASTA RECIPE

Quick and creamy pesto pasta is a delightful recipe that takes just 10 minutes and requires only 5 ingredients. This dish is a favorite among both kids and adults, making it perfect as a main course or a side dish!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • ½ to ¾ cup pesto (to taste)
  • ¾ pound pasta

Instructions

  • Cook Pasta: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  • Make White Sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until combined and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually add the milk, stirring over medium-high heat until the sauce thickens.
  • Add Pesto: Stir the pesto into the white sauce and remove from heat.
  • Combine: Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Toss the pasta with the pesto sauce and serve.
