GINGER MINCED PORK RICE BOWL

Today, I’m sharing a budget-friendly and super easy Ginger Minced Pork Rice Bowl recipe. It’s my go-to dish for a quick weeknight meal that doesn’t sacrifice flavor.

The main ingredients you’ll need are ground pork, ginger, scallions, and rice. Making this dish is a breeze. First, cook the ground pork and grated ginger in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the pork is browned.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice cooking wine
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 stalks scallion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds
  • 4 cups cooked white or brown rice

Instructions:

  • In a small container, whisk together the sugar, rice cooking wine, and soy sauce.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground pork and grated ginger. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the pork turns brown, making sure to crumble the meat as it cooks.
  • Stir in the seasoning mixture, making sure it’s well combined. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Toss in sesame oil, roasted sesame seeds, and chopped scallions. Cook for another 30 seconds before removing from heat.
  • Serve by placing rice in a bowl and spooning the ginger minced pork on top. Enjoy!

    NOTES

    • 1 cup of uncooked brown rice typically yields 4 cups of cooked brown rice.
    • 1 cup of uncooked white rice typically yields 3 cups of cooked white rice.

This dish is quick, flavorful, and perfect for a weeknight meal!
