HEALTHY BREAKFAST APPLE CRUMBLE

Kickstart your morning with this wholesome apple crumble! Packed with nutritious ingredients, it’s the perfect breakfast when paired with dairy-free milk. Alternatively, enjoy it as a healthier dessert topped with a scoop of ice cream!

Ingredients
Apples:

  • 6 sweet apples
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp coconut oil

For the Crumble:

  • 2/3 cup oats
  • 2/3 cup pecans
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tsp honey

Instructions

  • Chop the apples and sauté them in a pan with the cinnamon, salt, and coconut oil over medium-high heat. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F.
  • In a food processor, combine all crumble ingredients. Add about 1 tbsp of water and process until the mixture forms a crumbly texture that sticks together.
  • Grease a small baking pan or line it with parchment paper. Spread the sautéed apples evenly in the pan. Then, form larger crumble pieces and scatter them on top of the apples.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crumble is golden brown.
  • Let it cool slightly, then enjoy with dairy-free milk or yogurt for breakfast, or with ice cream for a healthier dessert!
