HOW TO CROCHET MOON & STAR APPLIQUES

USA Terminology (UK translation)

ch – Chain
dc – Double crochet
2dc – 2 dc in 1 space (increase)
hdc – Half double crochet
2hdc – 2hdc in 1 space (increase)

2sc – 2 sc in 1 space (increase)
sl st – Slip stich
st/sts – Stitch/Stitches
tr – Treble crochet
2tr – 2 tr in 1 space (increase)

Pattern Notes

Chains and finishing slip stitches are not included in the stitch count.
When stitches are separated by a comma, they should be made in separate spaces unless otherwise specified. For example, “sc, dc” means to make a single crochet in the first space and a double crochet in the next space.
When fastening off, leave a long tail for sewing if needed, or weave in your ends.
