INGREDIENTS
- ⅔ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1 cup mashed banana (about 2 large bananas)
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8″x8″ square baking dish.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or pitcher and set it aside to cool.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk the eggs. Then, add the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla. Whisk until well combined, ensuring the eggs are fully incorporated.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly to the edges. Smooth the top and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes on a wire rack before cutting into squares and serving. Enjoy!
