BAKED HONEY SOY CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS

These Baked Honey Soy Chicken Drumsticks are the ultimate in flavor. Coated in a sweet, savory Asian sauce with just the right amount of heat, they’re perfectly tender and fall-off-the-bone delicious. No fuss, though they might get a little messy.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic chili paste
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Chopped green onion (for garnish)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place the drumsticks in a dish with a lid.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, ketchup, chili paste, honey, and brown sugar. Whisk until well blended.
  • Pour the sauce over the drumsticks, ensuring they are coated. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours, preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • Line two 9×13 inch baking dishes with a double layer of foil.
  • Place the drumsticks in the dishes and pour the sauce over them, coating both sides. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, flip the drumsticks and continue baking for an additional 25 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and reduced.
  • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
