BLUEBERRY SPINACH SMOOTHIE

Kickstart your morning with this vibrant and nutritious blueberry spinach smoothie! It’s vegan, dairy-free, and packed with goodness. In just 5 minutes, blend together frozen blueberries, banana, fresh spinach, chia seeds, almond milk, and a sprinkle of cinnamon for a delicious and energizing drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 2 frozen bananas, peeled before freezing
  • 2-3 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1-2 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more almond milk for a thinner smoothie or less for a thicker texture.
  • Pour the smoothie into glasses and, if desired, top with fresh blueberries and granola. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use frozen bananas and blueberries for the best texture. You can buy pre-frozen berries or freeze ripe bananas (with spotty yellow peels) at home. To freeze bananas, peel and place them in a sealed ziplock bag or container. They’ll stay fresh in the freezer for up to 3 months.
