BANANA PANCAKES

These deliciously melt-in-your-mouth banana pancakes are made with simple, fresh, and wholesome ingredients. Inspired by the classic Original Pancakes, this recipe doesn’t require buttermilk and uses only a few pantry staples you likely already have!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp unsalted melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • Butter for frying

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Add the egg, vanilla extract, melted butter, brown sugar, and whole milk to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined.
  • Mix in the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon until the batter is smooth.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and coat it with butter.
  • Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet, smoothing it out into a round shape.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve with fresh fruit and warm maple syrup. Enjoy!
