My orange dreamsicle salad, made with Cool Whip and vanilla pudding, is a sweet and sticky side dish that’s perfect for any occasion! I love whipping up this quick and easy dessert salad for Christmas, summer picnics, and more!
INGREDIENTS
- 3 oz packet orange gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- 3.4 oz packet instant vanilla pudding mix
- 15 oz can of mandarin oranges (drained)
- 8 oz Cool Whip
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large bowl, dissolve the orange gelatin in boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
- Add the cold water, vanilla pudding mix, and drained mandarin oranges. Mix thoroughly.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then gently fold in the Cool Whip and mini marshmallows.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.
NOTES
- Use a large enough bowl to fit all the ingredients.
- Be sure to drain the mandarin oranges well to avoid a runny salad.
- Gently fold the mixture to keep it light and fluffy.
- Chill for at least 3 hours, or overnight, for the best texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap for up to 4 days. If the ingredients start to separate, just stir before serving.
