Transform a simple can of tomato sauce into a delicious no-cook pizza sauce in under 5 minutes! This easy recipe is my favorite for quick, flavorful pizza nights. With just canned tomato sauce, fresh garlic, salt, and dried herbs, you can whip up enough sauce for 3-4 medium thin-crust pepperoni pizzas or a thick and fluffy focaccia pizza. No cooking needed—just mix and enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 small can (6 ounces) salt-free tomato sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ teaspoon salt (use 2x Diamond Crystal kosher salt)
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
Cook Mode: Prevent your screen from going dark.
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bowl, combine the tomato sauce, salt, dried basil, and dried oregano.
- Grate the garlic directly into the sauce using a microplane zester.
- Whisk everything together until well combined. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
RECIPE NOTES
- Salt Adjustment: If your tomato sauce contains salt, mix all ingredients first, then taste before adding extra salt.
- Storage Tips: Refrigerate for up to 7 days. Stir before use if thickening or separation occurs.
- Freezing: Store in the freezer for up to 3 months. It remains safe to eat after that, but the texture and flavor may lose some of their vibrancy.
