It’s almost New Year’s, which means it’s time for our traditional Southern Style Chicken Strip feast with my in-laws! This is one of the meals I look forward to the most each year. Part of the excitement comes from how laid-back the evening is, with plenty of games to enjoy. And of course, the food is unbeatable. The chicken strips are always perfectly tender, crispy, and juicy. I can’t forget about the hand-cut fries and other delicious sides like onion tangles and coleslaw. But the real highlight is the sauces—usually at least four homemade varieties, served for both the chicken and fries. This year, I’ve finally perfected a copycat recipe for Raising Cane’s sauce!
