ORANGE DREAMSICLE SALAD

My orange dreamsicle salad, made with Cool Whip and vanilla pudding, is a sweet and sticky side dish that’s perfect for any occasion! I love whipping up this quick and easy dessert salad for Christmas, summer picnics, and more!

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 oz packet orange gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 3.4 oz packet instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 15 oz can of mandarin oranges (drained)
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a large bowl, dissolve the orange gelatin in boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  • Add the cold water, vanilla pudding mix, and drained mandarin oranges. Mix thoroughly.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then gently fold in the Cool Whip and mini marshmallows.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.

NOTES

  • Use a large enough bowl to fit all the ingredients.
  • Be sure to drain the mandarin oranges well to avoid a runny salad.
  • Gently fold the mixture to keep it light and fluffy.
  • Chill for at least 3 hours, or overnight, for the best texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap for up to 4 days. If the ingredients start to separate, just stir before serving.
