Unfortunately, these indulgences can also take a toll on your wallet. To save some money, Jayshree decided to try doing her own nails at home, and she was thrilled when her boyfriend Dakota offered to help. Not only did he lend a hand, but he also became quite the nail art expert, prompting the internet to encourage him to pursue becoming a licensed technician. JAYSHREE HAD A TOUGH TIME DOING HER NAILS HERSELF
Love is the driving force behind the most beautiful creations,” Dakota Rowe believes. “It inspired me to learn a new skill to help my girlfriend save money and feel beautiful.”
When Jayshree decided to do her own nails at home, it was a struggle. “I would listen to her struggle and curse under my breath about how hard it was,” Dakota recalls. “Then every 20 minutes, she would say, ‘You know, you’re going to be really good at this.’ So I told her I’d try it.”
Dakota wanted his girlfriend to have the trendy nails she had saved on her Pinterest board, so he learned how to do Gel-X nails.

Touched by her boyfriend’s efforts, Jayshree decided to document their nail journey on a TikTok account. “When he agreed to do my nails, I thought, ‘You know what? I’m going to make a TikTok video about this,’” she recalled.
Dakota’s nail art quickly went viral, accumulating millions of views. One of his videos, showcasing all the nail sets he’s created, has garnered a staggering 36.8 million views – if he were to open a salon, there would undoubtedly be a line!
Many commenters encouraged him to become a licensed technician and pursue a full-time career in nail art, recognizing his clear talent.

As it turns out, nail art isn’t the only creative outlet for Dakota. He often works with wood, carefully crafting beautiful pieces. This unusual skill has proven beneficial for his nail art. “When you’re working with wood, you have to be fluid so you don’t chip it,” he explained. “That skill transfers over to my nail art. I have to flow with the brush, or else my lines will be messed up. You have to be precise but not too rigid.”
Another group of commenters praised Dakota as an example of a perfect boyfriend, citing the popular saying “if he wanted – he would.” Both Dakota and Jayshree shared that this activity has strengthened their bond, making them even more in love.
“Doing this has definitely resulted in us spending a lot of time together, which I like,” Dakota said. “With our busy schedules, this created time for us to just be with each other face to face.”
