AIR FRYER SUGARED PECANS

Air Fryer Sugared Pecans, or candied pecans, make for a delicious and festive snack perfect for the holidays. With just a few simple ingredients, you can whip up one of the tastiest air fryer treats in no time!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb pecan halves
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (177°C). In a small bowl, whisk together the egg white and water for about 1 minute until frothy.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt, and set aside.
  • Add the pecans to the egg mixture and toss until fully coated.
  • Pour the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the pecans and toss to coat them evenly.
  • Spread the coated pecans out in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry at 350°F (177°C) for 6-9 minutes, shaking the basket frequently to ensure even cooking.
  • Once done, remove the pecans from the air fryer and let them cool before serving.

    NOTES

    • It’s very important to toss the pecans frequently while cooking to ensure they cook evenly.
    • Store sugared pecans in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to a week. For longer storage, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to two months.
