INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb pecan halves
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¾ teaspoon salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (177°C). In a small bowl, whisk together the egg white and water for about 1 minute until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt, and set aside.
- Add the pecans to the egg mixture and toss until fully coated.
- Pour the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the pecans and toss to coat them evenly.
- Spread the coated pecans out in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 350°F (177°C) for 6-9 minutes, shaking the basket frequently to ensure even cooking.
- Once done, remove the pecans from the air fryer and let them cool before serving.
NOTES
- It’s very important to toss the pecans frequently while cooking to ensure they cook evenly.
- Store sugared pecans in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to a week. For longer storage, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to two months.
