- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup plain gluten-free breadcrumbs
Spicy Sesame Sauce
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (see notes)
- 1-2 teaspoons sriracha
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon water
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the Cauliflower: Cut the cauliflower into medium or small florets.
- Make the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, garlic powder, and salt until smooth.
- Coat the Cauliflower:
- Add the cauliflower florets to the batter, tossing until fully coated.
- Toss the coated florets with breadcrumbs until evenly covered.
- Cook in the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (about 2 minutes).
- Add half of the cauliflower florets to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook at 370°F for 10-13 minutes, adjusting for desired crispiness. Repeat with the second batch if needed.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a small pot, heat the oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until lightly golden.
- Add the ginger and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, water or broth, sesame oil, rice vinegar, gochujang, and sriracha. Whisk until well combined.
- Thicken the Sauce:
- In a small dish, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth, then stir it into the sauce.
- Bring the sauce to a gentle boil, then remove from heat to allow it to thicken.
- Combine and Serve:
- Once all the cauliflower is cooked, place it in a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the sauce over the cauliflower and toss until evenly coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped scallions. Serve immediately and enjoy!
