INGREDIENTS

  • 2 salmon fillets (5–8 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 ½ tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder (or 1 tsp fresh minced garlic)

Optional Garnishes:

  • Black or white sesame seeds
  • Sliced green onions

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Prepare the marinade: In a small bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, and garlic powder (or fresh garlic). Divide the mixture in half.
  • Marinate the salmon: Coat the salmon fillets with half of the sauce and let them marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer: If your air fryer has a preheat function, set it to 400°F. If not, run it at 400°F for 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  • Cook the salmon: Place the marinated salmon fillets in the air fryer basket. Baste with the remaining marinade and cook at 400°F for 7-8 minutes, depending on thickness.
  • Serve & enjoy: Transfer the salmon to a plate, drizzle with the reserved sauce, and garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired. Serve hot!

NOTES & VARIATIONS

  • Boost the flavor: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes, fresh ginger, lime juice, or lemon juice for extra depth.
  • Texture & crunch: Sprinkle with sesame seeds or sliced green onions for added contrast.
  • Air fryer tip: If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat option, run it for 5 minutes at 400°F before cooking.
